Chairman of the Senate Committee on Land Transport, Gbenga Ashafa, has reacted to reports about the non-inclusion of the Lagos-Calabar rail project in the 2016 budget. According to Ashafa, the project was never included in the original budget presented to the senate by President Buhari but was however included in a supplementary budget brought to the Senate by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
